Dallas Cowboys running back Felix Jones was in a protective boot Monday, a day after suffering a high left ankle sprain in the second quarter of Sunday's loss at New England and could miss 2-4 weeks, according to a source.
Coach Jason Garrett said Jones would be evaluated day to day, "but sometimes those are hard to get your arms around initially. It's described as a high-ankle sprain, but we don't know the extent of it."
On Sunday, Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones said he expected the running back to miss this week's game against St. Louis at the least.
Jones suffered his injury on a 7-yard catch late in the first half. He had his ankle taped and attempted to do some running and cutting without much success.
