Ribeiro punished for missing meeting

Dallas Stars forward Mike Ribeiro was a healthy scratch for Monday night's game at the Anaheim Ducks because he missed a team meeting Sunday.

"I think we all have to live by the rules, and there are consequences when you don't," said Stars general manager Joe Nieuwendyk, who declined to say why Ribeiro missed the meeting.

In 60 games this season, Ribeiro has 18 goals and 32 assists. His 50 points are tied for third most on the team.

Monday's game was the last of a four-game road trip for the Stars, who return home Wednesday to take on the San Jose Sharks.
