After an hour weather delay, FC Dallas 99 Central finally got on the field for its first game of the Disney Cup International Youth Soccer Tournament.
FC Dallas defeated the Boca Juniors from Orlando, 1-0.
In the 14th minute, FC Dallas' Alejandro Zamarripa scored the lone goal with an assist from Jonathan Robert.
There was a two-hour weather delay at halftime and the second half was cut short to 20 minutes because of weather.
Boca's came out after the delay much more aggressive, collecting a yellow card and keeping the ball in play on FC Dallas' side for most of the second half.
FC Dallas goaltender Jared John (a guest player with the team from south Florida) was able to preserve the shutout.
FC Dallas' next game is Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. CST against Elgin All-Stars from Chicago, Ill.
