DALLAS -- Former world No. 15 Robby Ginepri meets two-time Challenger of Dallas champion Ryan Sweeting in Wednesday night's standout singles match at T Bar M Racquet Club.
Ginepri was ranked as high as 15th in 2005 and 2006, represented the United States in Davis Cup and has won nearly $4 million in career prize money. Yet he's been plagued by various injuries since the fall of 2010 and has been unable to halt a slide that has dropped him to No. 316.
Sweeting, ranked No. 162, won this $100,000 event in 2009 and 2010 and ousted No. 3 seed Tim Smyczek in the first round Monday.
The top two seeds -- 80th-ranked Jesse Levine and No. 90 Michael Russell -- also play second-round matches Wednesday, as does former world No. 4 James Blake.
Blake, now 33 and ranked 116th in the world, cruised past qualifier Alexander Domijan in his first-round match Tuesday night and has double duty Wednesday. He'll face unseeded American Denis Kudla in a second-round singles match, then team with three-time Grand Slam doubles champion Mark Knowles of the Bahamas in a first-match against the third-seeded American duo of Devin Britton and Austin Krajicek.
