DEC. 24 (awards based on games played Monday-Sunday)
TEAM OF THE WEEK: Oklahoma State
Oklahoma State was on the ropes, down by 22 against Arkansas -- it looked like a laugher for the Razorbacks. But you couldn't tell that to coach Eddie Sutton and his tenacious Cowboys, who rallied and remained unbeaten.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Steve Logan, Cincinnati
Guard Steve Logan scored 69 in two games for the Bearcats -- including 40 against previously unbeaten Mississippi State (hey, Mississippi State schedule-makers: playing against a bunch of cupcakes doesn't get you ready for the big boys, baby).
COACH OF THE WEEK: Mike Krzyzewski, Duke
Coach K was brilliant against Kentucky. With Duke down by 12, he took out his starters -- talk about nerve and guts. If Kentucky went on a run, the game would have been over.
But he brought the starters back (the subs actually picked up a point), and then it was the Jason Williams show. Chalk it up to motivational brilliance by Coach K -- and that's why he's a Hall of Famer.
SHOCK OF THE WEEK: Wisconsin over Marquette
The Badgers upset then-unbeaten Marquette behind Kirk Penney's 33 points. This is a big-time win for the Badgers and pulls them within a game of .500 at 5-6. Marquette is now 10-1.
DIAPER DANDY OF THE WEEK: Channing Frye, Arizona
6-foot-10 freshman Channing Frye 18 points and 16 rebounds in a road win at Oregon State. He followed that with 18 points and nine boards in a loss to Oregon.
