Stock Down: Tiger Woods

Aug. 18
Dick's Stock Watch identifies whose stock is up and whose is down over the past week across the world of sports.

Shaun Micheel -- Micheel made it four straight first-time major winners when he captured golf's PGA Championship. He was ranked 169th in the world coming into the tournament, but he withstood the pressure and hit a shot for the ages on the 18th hole Sunday, just three inches from the cup.

Albert Pujols -- Pujols extended his hitting streak to 30 straight games over the weekend before suffering a fever which led to him being scratched from the starting lineup on Sunday.

Byron Leftwich -- The rookie QB came off the bench in his first exhibition game with the Jacksonville Jaguars and led the Jags to a game-winning touchdown drive against the Miami Dolphins in an exhibition game. Leftwich will be a star in the NFL.

Tiger Woods -- Tiger finished 12-over-par at the PGA Championship, 16 shots behind Shaun Micheel. Tiger did not win a major this season. Come on, what is going on here?

Boston Red Sox -- The Red Sox are 4-7 in their past 11 games and now trail the Yankees by five games in the AL East. That shouldn't be a surprise ... it's getting close to September!

Randy Johnson -- What has happened to the Arizona Diamondbacks' starter? He's 3-5 with a 5.08 ERA. There used to be smoke on his fastball and he was unhittable, but now opponents are knocking him around. Arizona needs the Big Unit to pitch well if they are to make a run at the playoffs.
