Kansas moves to No. 3,
but UConn's still the one

Editor's Note: Each week throughout the 2003-04 season, ESPN's Dick Vitale will rank the nation's top 16 teams (in conjunction with ESPN.com's Power 16). Here are his preseason rankings...

With the college-basketball season just around the corner, I've slightly revised my preseason Sensational 16 (which was first posted in August) based on further evaluation of the preseason scenario.

Kansas moves up to No. 3 (from No. 7). Duke, which was one spot behind Kentucky, moves to one spot ahead of the Wildcats. So Duke stays at No. 4, and Kentucky (which was No. 3) now is No. 5.

Otherwise, the same teams are in my top 16 (no deletions or additions), with Nos. 8-16 staying put. UConn remains my clear-cut No. 1, while Wisconsin remains at No. 16.
