OSU off to a fast start against Pitt

March, 22, 2009
DAYTON, Ohio -- Five minutes in, it's clear what Oklahoma State's defensive plan is.

The Cowboys have played almost exclusively man-to-man, with Marshall Moses fronting DeJuan Blair in the paint to deny him the ball. Blair has yet to receive a pass where he can post up, and he hasn't yet attempted a shot. Sam Young has picked up the slack with seven points and might need to have a big scoring game. But Pitt also needs to do a better job of looking for ways to get the ball to Blair over the top.

Moses is more than holding his own at the other end, too, with two buckets against Blair. Terrel Harris has hit two 3s, and the Cowboys have made five of their first nine shots after a hot-shooting day in the first round against Tennessee.
