Team ESPN gives back this season (6:06)

As the 2018 holiday season drives and volunteer events come to a close, we would like to thank Team ESPN for your incredible generosity in helping those in need.

Here's a snapshot of some of the impact that was made during last six weeks of the holiday season:

  • 35,000 meals were packed to help fight global hunger in addition to 1,500 hospital comfort kits.

  • 2 tons of food was collected by employees to local feeding America affiliates in the Bristol, New Britain and Hartford area.

  • 1,000 toys were donated by employees for the Toys for Tots program

  • 300 children and families were adopted through the Salvation Army

  • 50 volunteer projects that employees took part in during the last six weeks

  • 85 holiday cards were created for kids at Connecticut Children's Hospital

  • 500 children's books and 650 DVDs were donated, many of which were wrapped by over more than 160 volunteers

"More than ever, families are in need of assistance during the holidays and employees across the country have come to their aid - this is true spirit of ESPN," said Donald Brooks, Corporate Citizenship. "A big thank you to Team ESPN for your donations, time, talents and gifts to help others during this holiday season."

Also, a shout out to the team at Golic and Wingo, who donated an additional 500 gifts for Toys for Tots and invited the Marines to the set to pick up the toys. See the clip from the show below.

Happy Holidays!
