Stars to watch in Sweet 16

It has been an exciting run to the Sweet 16.

Here are my dazzling dozen PTP'ers among guys who are playing Thursday and Friday. This doesn't include prime-time players like Khalif Wyatt, who was outstanding for Temple even though his team fell short.

Mark Lyons, Arizona
The transfer from Xavier is so close to coach Sean Miller, and he has come through big-time. Lyons has made 20 of 32 shots from the field, totaling 50 points in wins over Belmont and Harvard.

Russ Smith, Louisville
He has been hot in the tournament, totaling 50 points and 10 steals in two wins.

Damyean Dotson, Oregon
The Ducks have proved that being seeded 12th was a mistake. The diaper dandy has averaged 20 PPG in his first two tournament games.

Arsalan Kazemi, Oregon
The transfer from Rice has been a glass-eater in the tournament. He has grabbed 33 rebounds in two games, wins over Oklahoma State and Saint Louis.

Glenn Robinson III and Mitch McGary, Michigan

This dynamic diaper dandy duo has combined to provide an inside presence for the Wolverines. They have hit 31 of 39 shots from the field, an amazing statistic.

Vander Blue, Marquette
He has willed his team to two nail-biters. He had 29 points against Butler and the game-winning shot over Davidson.

Deshaun Thomas, Ohio State
He has hit 16 of 26 shots from the floor, averaging 23 PPG in the tourney.

Bernard Thompson, Florida Gulf Coast
He averaged 23 PPG in wins over Georgetown and San Diego State.

Erik Murphy, Florida
He has made 13 of 18 shots from the field for the Gators.

Ramon Galloway, La Salle
He has 64 points in three tourney games. The Explorers went from First Four to the Sweet 16.

Seth Curry, Duke
He totaled 43 points in the first two games.
