DP: Does Scott Skiles still think he can play?
JK: He reminds me every now and then that when he was with Washington, he had a high runner he called the Giant Killer. Now Scott will shoot a couple of times, but he's always grabbing his back in pain.
DP: Is Elmer Fudd the best hotel alias you've used?
JK: I think so. I've also used Willie Mays and Will Smith.
DP: Does Will Smith know this?
DP: My favorite trash line of all time-Reggie Miller told me this: The Pacers played in Boston around Christmastime one year. Larry Bird made a three, walked by the Indy bench and said, "Merry f -ing Christmas." Now see, that's short, sweet and to the point.
JK: Oh, man, I don't get involved in that. I just listen because it can be really funny. I mean, there's only a handful of guys who can do it well. Gary Payton, definitely. Mutombo does it very quietly with his finger.
DP: Do youwant to break that finger one day?
JK: No, I don't want to break it. I just don't want him to use it to block my shots.
DP: Best movie you've seen recently.
JK: The Green Mile.
DP: Did you cry?
JK: Almost. I had to grab a glass of water to fight it off. It was tough-the faucet was ready to be turned on.
DP: Three favorite musical groups.
JK: I have to go with Boyz II Men. Hmm. Oh, Kenny G. Does it have to be a group or could it just be-
DP: Well, you already went with Kenny G, so Ilostmy breakfast afterthat.
JK: I like jazz in the morning. I mean, Kenny G can play.
DP: Is there anything that raises the roof in that house of yours?
JK: I'm a mellow cat. I don't raise the roof in my house. I'll throw in a little rap for you, Dan. What's his name? Jay-Z.
DP: Favorite music video?
JK: TLC's "Waterfalls." I think that's what sent them over the edge. Spent too much money on it.
DP: No, I think Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes burning down Andre Rison's house sent themover the edge.
DP: Is it bad for college basketball that kids leave early?
JK: I have told kids to stay in school, I mean, to experience college. I think college helps people understand the realworld. But that doesn't mean you have to stay four or five years.
