Blissful ignorance is the best kind

Wed, Nov 25

It's always good to start the day with a laugh, so we happily present the delusion of Clippers owner Donald Sterling.

Sterling asserted he's committed to winning a championship in an interview with the Los Angeles Times.

"I can visualize a Clippers parade," he told the Times. "I'm telling you, I will win. I promise you that. I will find the combination."

It takes either tremendous audacity or ignorance to say that, especially considering the numbers. Since Sterling bought the team in 1981, the team has compiled two winning seasons and has never broken the 50-win barrier. The Clips showed promise in 2005-06, going 47-35 and winning a playoff series. Three seasons later, they were 19-63.

"If somebody could tell me how to win, I'd give them anything," Sterling told the Times.

That's easy, Donald. Sell the team.
