The Heisman race is wide-open. We don't know who will win on Saturday. But we have a pretty good idea of what each candidate's acceptance speech might sound like.
Mark Ingram, RB, Alabama: I am so honored to receive this award. Thank you to everyone who helped me get to this point. And if there are any young kids out there watching who want to win the Heisman one day, I hope I can serve as an inspiration to you. Remember: You don't have to be a quarterback to win the Heisman. I have proven that. You just have to be the star running back on an SEC team that's ranked No. 1 in the country. So reach for your dreams. Anything is possible.
Ndamukong Suh, DT, Nebraska: I don't even know where to start. Thank you to my family and friends. My coaches and teammates at all levels who helped make me the player I am today. And thank you to all the Huskers fans across the nation for cheering me on during my career. Also, in case some of you out there are having difficulty with spelling or pronunciation, it's D-E-F-E-N-S-E. And it's said DEE-fence. Just want to clear that up, because I know many of you were puzzled why someone who isn't a quarterback or running back was here. Thanks.
Toby Gerhart, RB, Stanford: Apologies that I don't have a great speech prepared. I was only able to jot down a few words between studying for my Nuclear Engineering final and writing my semester paper on 17th century Belgian literature. (Takes paper out of his jacket pocket. Clears throat.) Nerds rule. That is all. Thank you. And, now, if I may leave, I have some Cantonese that isn't going to learn itself.
Colt McCoy, QB, Texas: Thank you for this award. I want to thank my director, Mack Brown. But I really want to give a special thank you to the writers. When I first saw the script and saw that the character was named "Colt McCoy" ... and that he was from Texas ... and that he would play quarterback for Texas ... and that he would win the Heisman Trophy ... I thought it sounded way too clichéd. I mean, really -- you named him Colt McCoy? But it worked. And audiences loved it. And now this award. I really must share it with all of you.
Tim Tebow, QB, Florida: What an honor to be up here to win a second Heisman trophy. First of all, I want to thank God for making all this possible and giving me so many blessings. I also want to thank my family. And, of course, Coach Meyer and my teammates. I couldn't have done this without them. And thank you to Gator Nation for all your support over the years. Finally, if you would like a plaque to remember this speech, they are being engraved in the back right now and you can purchase one on your way out. Thank you.
