Maybe the advice is finally sinking in.
ESPN personality Erin Andrews, with a background in dancing while at the University of Florida, finally let herself go in ABC's "Dancing with the Stars" on Monday.
Andrews -- who made an appearance on the "Jimmy Kimmel Live" show Monday afternoon -- and dance partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy performed a near-flawless samba, and the judges were raving. Judge Carrie Ann Inaba said to Andrews, "You nailed it!"
The duo finished with the second highest score (34) to the usual top tandem of singer Nicole Scherzinger and dancer Derek Hough (36).
Andrews said she thinks Chmerkovskiy was the perfect partner to be matched in the 10th season of the show.
"We both have strong personalities, and I don't sit there and take it like some other contestants would," Andrews said. "I give it right back to him every time he comes at me. That's probably why we're working so well as a team."
Hough said with only a handful of weeks remaining, that the contestants need to turn it up.
"We have to remember that we're a TV show and we're out there to entertain," he said. "Just do the best dance you can do and the rewards will come."
Olympic figure skating champion Evan Lysacek suffered a concussion in practice and struggled through his performance Monday night.
"I think we kept pushing and pushing and then pushed too hard," said Lysacek, whose team should survive Tuesday's elimination show.
The Bachelor's Jake Pavelka (25) and TV host Niecy Nash (26) likely will be one of the celebrities to go.
