Pop idol Justin Bieber can woo the young ladies, but does he have game?
We'll find out soon enough.
Less than a week ago, the 16-year-old 5-foot-5 pop singer went 0 for 2 at the Grammy Awards (which, ironically happened at the Staples Center, the L.A. Lakers arena), but perhaps his chances will be better this time around.
The 16-year-old Usher Raymond protege (so there's that -- Raymond is co-owner of the Cleveland Cavaliers, so Bieber may have picked something up) will lace up and take the court with other famous faces and former professional players for the 2011 BBVA NBA All-Star Celebrity Game. Bieber and his signature swooped bangs will play alongside folks including Common, Nick Cannon, Scottie Pippen, Rick Fox, Jalen Rose, Michael Rapaport, Mitch Richmond, Chris Mullin, Tamika Catchings and Swin Cash.
Coaches for the game will be Basketball Hall of Famer Bill Walton, Magic Johnson, actor Jason Alexander, late night host Jimmy Kimmel, ESPN.com's Bill Simmons and actor Ty Burrell.
The game airs Friday on ESPN at 7 p.m. ET.
