Hope Solo will need a little help from her fans to survive on ABC's "Dancing with the Stars."
On Monday, the seven remaining contestants performed to Broadway tunes, and Solo and partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy danced a rumba to the song "Seasons of Love" from the musical "Rent."
The judges hated it.
"This is your worst dance of the whole season," judge Len Goodman said. "I'm really disappointed."
The crowd reacted as you would imagine, supporting the dance duo. Chmerkovskiy commented that the crowd was focused on the entire season and not just one night.
Goodman started to say that he'd been in the business for 50 years, only to be cut off by Chmerkovskiy saying, "Maybe it's time to get out."
Another judge, Carrie Ann Inaba, jumped in, saying to Chmerkovskiy: "Don't be disrespectful like that."
Solo and Cherkovskiy scored 20 out of 30 points, the second lowest of the night. The lowest score went to Chaz Bono and Lacey Schwimmer at 19 points.
On Tuesday, it will be interesting to see whether the public supports Solo's dance or agrees with the judges.
To @hopesolo, you truly ARE my star tonight! Loved our dance! Very proud of you! To everyone else, I WILL NEVER CHANGE! Love me or hate me!," Chmerkovskiy tweeted late Monday.
