The story of Kurt Yaeger and his courage to get back on a BMX bike following a horrific motorcycle accident in 2006 is a story we've featured previously in this very blog. Following the accident, Yaeger's left leg was amputated below the calf. But Kurt defied all odds and returned to riding, relearning new tricks, working on new technologies to facilitate his riding and riding in the X Games.
Today, Kurt continues to progress at a mighty pace, and the drive that continues to push him is a true source of inspiration for all. Recently, we started talking about a follow-up to the profile we featured on Kurt last year, and thankfully, Kurt delivered. With the help of producer Aaron Nardi, Kurt discusses the process it took to relearn tricks, the fact that injuries still plague him from time to time, and a new brace that helps to keep Kurt's prosthetic limb in place.
And if you think Kurt looks familiar, it's because he probably does. Kurt pays the bills acting, and has been featured in films such as 'Dolphin Tale,' 'Charlie Wilson's War,' and TV shows such as 'The Bold and The Beautiful.' Check his full list of accomplishments here.
