How badly does Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski want to be on the cover of Madden 13?
Badly enough that he posted a video to YouTube telling fans why he should be the guy (video above). Gronk is currently competing against Wes Welker for the right to represent the Patriots in the overall fan vote -- against one player from each of the other 31 teams -- to decide the Madden 13 cover.
The video shows a pumped-up Gronk sitting on his couch with his surgically repaired left ankle in a cast and resting on the table in front of him. He's holding a crutch as he looks to the camera.
"I'm going to tell you why I should be voted for the Madden 13 cover this year," he says enthusiastically. "It's just not because of the dedication on the field, but it's also because of the dedication off the field. Hard workers at all times. Let's go bro! Doing curls, busted ankle, cast on it, it don't stop me!"
Gronk proceeds to do four curls with his crutch, with his Zubaz-wearing brother leaning on it to provide the weight.
"Just getting jacked at all times, going crazy," proceeds Gronk, "even check out my brothers."
The camera then cuts to his two other brothers, also clad in Zubaz, doing pushups and situps nearby.
The video so far has only 4,500 views, but something tells us this one is going viral.
