It finally came together for Green Bay Packers wide receiver Donald Driver on ABC's "Dancing with the Stars."

After finishing in the middle of the pack for three weeks, Driver and partner Peta Murgatroyd scored 27 out of 30 points to lead the 10 remaining contestants on the elimination show.

The duo performed the paso doble to "Purple Haze" by Jimi Hendrix, and Driver even went shirtless for part of the routine. The duo before the dance talked about how athletes in previous seasons had done well performing the dance similar to movement in a bullfight. Athletes Apolo Ohno (Season 4), Kristi Yamaguchi (Season 6), Warren Sapp (Season 7) and Maurice Greene (Season 7) all scored the highest on the paso doble in their seasons.

After watching Driver shine, judge Bruno Tonioli chimed in, "Muscular! Masculine! Magnificent!"

TV host Maria Menounos, who injured her rib during Wrestlemania last week, was tied for second with 26 points along with Disney star Roshon Fegan.

The bottom tier went to TV star Melissa Gilbert (22), Latin hunk William Levy (22), TV host Sherri Shepherd (21) and singing legend Gladys Knight (20). On Tuesday, rock band KISS returns for the elimination show with Gilbert -- who went to the hospital at the end of show for precautions from a possible concussion -- and Knight the two likely near the exit.
