It's a happy occasion for some -- but for others, it only serves as a reminder of past heartbreak. And it might be a particularly tough day for Steve Francis this year -- his backcourt mate and best friend, Cuttino Mobley, was recently traded to Sacramento.

Bristol Bob and the Page 2 Crue have cooked up a brand new single that summarizes Stevie Franchise's grief -- you might recognize the melody from a well-known Green Day song. So pump up the volume on the Page 2 Radio Network and take a listen to ... "Franchise of Broken Dreams."

Missed the other Bristol Bob and the Page 2 Crue hits? What is wrong with you?:

  • "It's the End of Baseball As We Know It"
  • "Shaq and Kobe's Christmas Song"

LYRICS TO "FRANCHISE OF BROKEN DREAMS"
    I long for Cuttino
The only guard that I have ever known
    Don't know where to go
Pop out for a three and I ball alone

    We partied on Church Street
There's no more wingman and now I will weep
    I can't even sleep
and I'm the only one and I ball alone

    I ball alone
    I ball alone

    I ball alone
    I ball a....

My shadow's the only one that walks beside me
My heart is broken and it's barely beating
Sometimes I wear armbands for my boy Mobley
    And now I ball alone

    (Cue the tears)

Bristol Bob would be devastated to see any of his bandmates leave their musical brotherhood. But, he understands that it's a business, so he's always looking for musicians to replace the existing members of the Page 2 Crue. E-mail him at bristolbob@gmail.com if you've got the chops to rock!
