In this quiet year for running backs, wide receivers have asserted themselves as the glamour boys of the NFL. With all the potent passing attacks around the league, it seems like there are more outstanding wideouts than ever before. Some fans disagree, though. They know that the truly great wide receivers were the ones of yesteryear. They'll argue to the death that Rod Gardner was superior to Randy Moss, and that Terrell Owens is nothing compared to Michael Haynes. This week we salute these true believers.

As always, remember to check our blog for daily updates at, and if you find a candid shot of a gem jersey, e-mail it to us at Who knows, next week we could be running your snapshot of a guy in a J.J. Birden Kansas City Chiefs jersey!

Carl Pickens Carl Pickens, Cincinnati Bengals: Don't fret, man. In a few years your hair will cover the name on your jersey just like your girlfriend's hair is covering Jeff Blake's name. (Found by Kyle in Buffalo.)

Terry Glenn

Terry Glenn, New England Patriots: To be fair, it's not like the Pats' passing game gives the prospective jersey buyer a lot of options. (Found by Jon in Salt Lake City.)

Tom Waddle Tom Waddle, Chicago Bears: This guy just bought a Muhsin Muhammad jersey. He can't wait to start wearing it in 2015. (Found by Tom in Chicago.)

Michael Westbrook Michael Westbrook, Washington Redskins: What's the bigger miracle, Westbrook's Hail Mary grab against Michigan, or the fact that somebody is still wearing his jersey? (Found by Mario in New Britain, Conn.)

Jermaine Lewis Jermaine Lewis, Houston Texans: This guy was super-excited about this jersey when the Texans took Lewis in the expansion draft. Unlike the Texans, though, he does not have the wherewithal to release it. (Found by Jacob at Fenway Park.)

Don Beebe Don Beebe, Buffalo Bills and Green Bay Packers: The exhausting part of wearing a Beebe jersey is constantly having to chase a guy in a Leon Lett jersey. (Bills jersey found by Russell in Buffalo; Packers jersey found by Hunter in St. Augustine, Fla.)
