The tournament was organized in conjunction with Joe Root's Grill, a local establishment whose owner Elmer Keisel hatched the idea to help promote activity during hibernation season. In addition, the event serves as a benefit for Presque Isle itself, which will use the proceeds to fund projects like a nature play space for kids.
