Hagler vs. Hearns

Middleweight champ Hagler and Hearns, the junior middleweight champ moving up in weight, slogged through such a long promotion filled with insults that when the bell rang they wanted to kill each other. The result? The most electrifying eight minutes in boxing history, including a first round considered by many to be the best ever. The action never relented. Hagler was badly cut on his forehead, and Hearns had broken his hand. The cut opened in the third round, and with blood pouring down his face and concerned the fight might be stopped, Hagler went into another gear, drilling Hearns with a right hand.
