DJ Steve Porter will be creating custom sports-themed mixes once per month through August to air on ESPN, and the mashups can be heard using the audio player on ESPN.com's Music section.
"I've been watching 'SportsCenter' ever since I was a kid, so to collaborate with them on the Monthly Mashup project is incredible. PorterHouse Media is very excited about this opportunity to continue our relationship with ESPN," Porter said in a news release.
Porter, perhaps best known for video remixes "Rap Chop" and the sports news conference-themed "Press Hop," refers to his music, which incorporates various music styles into house beats, as "Porterhouse."
The Amherst, Mass., native has had a successful career as an international DJ for more than 10 years and has put out three albums, "Homegrown" (2005), "Porterhouse" (2006) and "Porterhouse Volume 2" (2007). He formed his own production company, PorterHouse Media, in 2009.
Porter's mixes have been featured on ESPN, NBC, MTV, VH1, CBC and E!
