While waiver-wire pickup Cody Ross helped lead the Giants to the World Series with some of the most clutch hitting the Orange and Black have seen since Will "The Thrill" Clark, it's another castoff who will take them to the promised land (and a parade down Market Street). According to the PlayStation 3 video game "MLB 10: The Show," Pat Burrell swings his way into San Francisco sports immortality by blasting four home runs in the World Series, smacking his final bomb in the 10th inning of a scoreless Game 7 to secure his spot as MVP.
But he wasn't the only star playing his (virtual) heart out for San Francisco throughout the series; in addition to Burrell's four home runs and 11 RBIs, rookie Buster Posey goes 10-for-30 in the series, including three home runs and six RBIs. Matt Cain added two spectacular games on the mound, giving up only one earned run in 15 innings pitched to help the Giants win their first World Series since moving to San Francisco.
Here's a game-by-game breakdown of how "The Show" sees the World Series playing out:
|2010 World Series Simulation|
|Game||Texas Rangers||San Francisco Giants|
|6 (10 innings)||4||2|
|7 (10 innings)||0||1|
