Haslem signs with Heat
MIAMI -- The Miami Heat signed power forward Udonis Haslem to a two-year contract.
The 6-foot-9 Haslem, a former star with the Florida Gators, played in France last season. He impressed the Heat playing in summer leagues in Orlando, Fla., and Boston.
The deal reached Monday reinforces Miami's front line. Center Alonzo Mourning signed as a free agent with the New Jersey Nets on July 16, and the Heat may also lose Vladimir Stepania and Sean Marks to free agency.
