NDSCS hires new women's basketball coach

WAHPETON, N.D. -- The North Dakota State College of Science in Wahpeton has hired a new women's basketball coach.

Paulette Stein has been a head coach at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside, Eastern Michigan University, Butler University, Northern Michigan and Augustana College in Illinois, NDSCS athletic director Craig Irwin said.

While at Butler, Stein was named the Midwestern Collegiate Conference Coach of the Year in 1990 and 1993.

She takes over in Wahpeton for Geoff Lanier, who took a coaching position at the University of Akron in Ohio.
