DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- LeJominck Washington's 2-yard touchdown run in the first overtime lifted Morgan State to a 31-24 win over previously unbeaten Bethune-Cookman on Saturday.
Washington had four touchdowns -- two throwing and two rushing -- in the game for Morgan State (2-3, 1-2 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference), which snapped a five-game losing streak against the Wildcats.
Suber rushed for two touchdowns and threw for another for Bethune-Cookman (5-1, 1-1), but he completed only 3 of 17 passes. Morgan State limited the Wildcats to 226 yards.
Washington accounted for most of his team's 415 total yards, throwing for 233 and rushing for another 131 on a team-high 29 carries.
Suber's second touchdown run, a 9-yard burst early in the third quarter, gave his team a 24-16 lead.
But Washington made a brilliant play to lead his team back, scrambling away from defenders and finding Tommy Manus in the end zone for a 49-yard touchdown with 1:58 left in the third quarter. Washington then ran across the 2-point conversion, tying the game.
