PORTLAND, Ore. -- Trent Thompson threw for 400 yards and two touchdowns, including a late-game strike that broke a 35-35 tie, and Lewis & Clark defeated Colorado College 42-37 on Saturday.
Colorado College (3-1) had tied the game on a 5-yard run by GabrielBrown with 6:30 left to play, capping a 16-play, 5:50 drive.
Lewis & Clark (3-1) countered with an 11-play drive, regaining the lead on Thompson's 27-yard pass to Nick Bodeman.
Bodeman ran the ball out of Colorado College's end zone on a fake punt as time expired, giving up a safety but avoiding a runback that could have threatened the victory.
Bodeman caught 11 passes for 132 yards. Chris Jameson had 10 receptions for 129 yards and a touchdown.
Lewis & Clark's Nick Kaiel ran for 108 yards and a TD. Ryan Bogle scored twice on 3-yard runs.
Colorado College's Jay Macias passed for two touchdowns and rushed for two more. He had 193 yards passing and 195 rushing.
Adam Smith had 10 tackles and two interceptions for Lewis & Clark.
