KINGSVILLE, Texas -- Daniel Taylor threw for 126 yards and two touchdowns and the defense added two more as Texas A&M-Kingsville beat Texas A&M-Commerce 31-7 Saturday night.
The game was tied at seven in the second quarter when Texas A&M-Kingsville's (4-1, 3-0 Lone Star Conference) Deaundre Fillmore blocked a Texas A&M-Commerce (1-5, 0-3) punt and Maurice Washington fell on it in the end zone for a score.
The Javelinas' then went on to score 17 unanswered points.
The defense added another score when Jason Lee picked up a fumble and ran 76 yards for a touchdown.
Taylor's first touchdown pass bounced off a teammate before landing in Errick Lewis' arms for the score. His other TD toss came in the third quarter on a 10-yard pass to Washington.
Miles Durham went 10-of-25 for 119 yards and a touchdown, but he also had two interceptions for Texas A&M-Commerce.
