St. Thomas, Minn. 35, Carleton 13
ST. PAUL -- Justin Kostner rushed for two touchdowns as St. Thomas beat Carleton 35-13 Saturday.
The Tommies (3-4, 3-2 MIAC) jumped out to a 14-0 lead in the first quarter but the Knights pulled to within a touchdown by halftime on a Ben Cooprider touchdown pass to Paul Delaney.
Erik Fisher ran for 177 yards for the Knights, including a 71-yard touchdown run in the third quarter. It was Fisher's third 100-yard rushing game of the season.
Matt Meunier returned an interception 30 yards for a touchdown in the third quarter to push the Tommies to a 21-7 lead.
Fisher's run in the third and a failed Pat Barry point-after-attempt made the score 21-13 but two more Tommie touchdowns, by Kostner and Walter Dosh, sealed the game for St. Thomas.
Carleton remains winless through six games.
