GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Jamal Jones caught a 33-yard touchdown pass in the fourth quarter to break a tie as North Carolina A&T beat Florida A&M 22-16 Saturday.
On fourth-and-2, Rico Watkins rolled out on a bootleg and found Jones, who shook off a defender to make the catch for the Aggies (6-1).
The Rattlers (4-4) had a chance to score from the Aggies 15-yard line with 5 seconds remaining, but defensive end Rickie Lewis sacked Ben Dougherty for a 7-yard loss as time expired.
Florida A&M fell behind 16-3 after Curtis DeLoatch returned an interception 36 yards for a touchdown on the Rattlers' first possession of the second half.
The Rattlers rallied to tie the game with 10:20 remaining after Dougherty ran in a touchdown from 5 yards out and then connected with Rod Miller on a 14-yard TD pass three plays after the Aggies fumbled.
Dougherty led the Rattlers with 238 yards on 26-for-40 passing while rushing for 45 yards. Miller caught eight passes for 78 yards.
