Bills WR Moulds misses second straight game

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- Bills receiver Eric Moulds missed his second straight game Sunday because of a groin injury.

Moulds, the Bills' leading receiver, was scratched after he spent about 30 minutes on the field warming up and catching passes with quarterback Drew Bledsoe before Buffalo's game against Washington.

Nursing a slight tear in his groin, Moulds was listed as questionable all week and did not practice until Friday.

Moulds missed last week's 30-3 loss to the New York Jets and has not played since he was hurt while falling awkwardly on the sideline in setting up the winning drive in Buffalo's 22-16 overtime win against Cincinnati on Oct. 5.

Moulds was sorely missed last weekend, when the Bills (3-3) managed just 193 yards of offense. Bobby Shaw replaced Moulds as the Bills' deep threat, ahead of No. 2 receiver Josh Reed. The two combined for nine catches for 100 yards last weekend.

The Redskins were minus several starters, including running back Trung Canidate (sprained right ankle), cornerback Fred Smoot (chest) and defensive tackle Jermaine Haley (broken thumb). All three were hurt in last weekend's 35-13 loss to Tampa Bay.
