Minn.-Morris 28, Northwestern, Minn. 21

MORRIS, Minn. -- Ryan Martin threw for 182 yards and two touchdowns to lead Minnesota-Morris past Northwestern-Roseville 28-21 Saturday.

The Cougars (4-4, 4-1 UMAC) won their fourth game of the season for the first time since 1990 and finished second in the UMAC North Division.

Bobby Miller ran for a 1-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter for the Eagles and then threw a 44-yard touchdown pass to Stefan Redlin to pull to within seven. But time ran out before the Eagles could complete the comeback.

Miller completed 17 of 36 passes for 251 yards passing.

Northwestern is now 5-3 overall and 4-2 in the UMAC.

The Eagles had three more first downs than the Cougars and finished with 393 offensive yards compared to Morris' 362.
