Mobley injures neck against Baltimore
X-rays were negative and Mobley had regained full feeling in his arms and legs.
Broncos trainer Steve Antonopulos said Mobley had some tingling in his hand after he was taken off the field in the second quarter following a delay of about 10 minutes. He was taken to the Maryland shock trauma center where an examination showed no broken bones.
However, Antonopulos said there was some swelling around Mobley's spinal cord and he would be held in the hospital rather than fly back to Denver with the team.
The Broncos have been devastated by injuries. They played Sunday with third-stringer Danny Kanell at quarterback, with starter Jake Plummer out with a broken foot and backup Steve Beuerlein out for the season with a broken finger.
Linebacker Ian Gold also is out for the season with a knee injury.
