BYU football tickets to cost a little more
PROVO, Utah -- Ticket prices for Brigham Young football are increasing to pay for upgrades at LaVell Edwards Stadium.
The smallest increase will be $6 for season tickets in the end zone, while tickets for loge seating will go up by $110 from $390 to $500.
"Ticket price increases are an inevitable part of running an athletics department such as ours, which must pay its own way," athletic director Tom Holmoe said.
The Cougars, who won the Mountain West Conference title last fall, play seven home games in 2007 starting Sept. 1 against Arizona. Season-ticket renewals go out in mid-March and ticket sales begin April 2.
Upgrades planned for the 43-year-old stadium include refurbishing concrete, stairways and ramps and new lighting.
BYU hasn't increased ticket prices stadium-wide since 2001.
