BEASAIN, Spain -- Nairo Quintana of Colombia won the Tour of Basque Country by edging out countryman Sergio Henao in Saturday's time trial.

It was the first win for the 23-year-old rider.
Quintana completed the six-day race in northern Spain, which was plagued by cold temperatures, rain and snow, in 21 hours, 39 minutes, 35 seconds.
Australia's Richie Porte was runner-up, 23 seconds behind. Henao finished in third at 34 seconds off the pace. Simon Spilak of Slovenia was another second back, and two-time Tour de France winner Alberto Contador was fifth, 54 seconds behind.
