Harlem Skating features Hamilton, Lysacek
NEW YORK -- Figure Skating in Harlem celebrates its 16th anniversary Monday with a gala featuring Olympic champions Scott Hamilton and Evan Lysacek.
Figure Skating in Harlem is the only organization in the country that combines the power of education with the grace and discipline of figure skating. It offers academic and fitness programs to girls in the area.
Guests at Central Park's Trump Rink will have the opportunity to skate with Hamilton, Lysacek and fellow Olympic gold medalists Sarah Hughes and Tara Lipinski. Also participating will be Olympic medalists Sasha Cohen, Tanith Belbin, Paul Wylie and Tim Goebel.
The club will honor broadcaster Andrea Joyce of NBC Sports and fashion designer B Michael of B Michael America.
