Boat Trip wins turf sprint feature at Hollywood

INGLEWOOD, Calif. -- Boat Trip narrowly held off graded stakes winner Kinsale King to win Friday's $69,010 turf sprint feature at Betfair Hollywood Park.

Ridden by Jose Valdivia Jr. for trainer Michael Pender, Boat Trip was sixth in the field of seven in the early going, rallying from fourth at the top of the stretch and hanging on to beat Kinsale King by a neck, covering five furlongs in 55.48.

The winner paid $13.80, $6.40 and $4.80. Kinsale King, a multiple graded stakes winner making his first start since Sept. 2011, was second and paid $11.40 and $5.60. Chiloquin paid $4 to show. The favorite, Chosen Miracle, was fifth.

Boat trip has won four times in 10 career starts and is 3 for 4 on the Hollywood Park turf.
