SAN FRANCISCO -- Right-hander Dustin Hermanson decided to remain with the San Francisco Giants, agreeing Tuesday to an $800,000, one-year contract.

The 30-year-old Hermanson started last season with St. Louis, then signed a minor league contract with the Giants on July 11. He went 3-3 with a 4.06 ERA in six starts and three relief appearances for the NL West champions.

After the World Series, Hermanson filed for free agency.

The deal allows him to make an additional $400,000 in performance bonuses.
