CHICAGO -- The Chicago Bulls have waived forward Linton Johnson III and guard DeMarcus Nelson.

In his second stint with the Bulls, Johnson played in eight games and averaged 1.1 points and 1.0 rebounds. He was signed to two 10-day contracts in March before getting a deal for the remainder of the season on April 7.

A former Duke star, Nelson was the Golden State Warriors' starting point guard on opening night, but he quickly fell out of favor with coach Don Nelson and played in just 13 games before being waived. He signed with the Bulls on April 4 but didn't play for them.
