DENVER -- The Denver Broncos on Thursday signed free-agent linebacker who spent last season out of the NFL.

Ray Wells was signed to a three-year deal by the Broncos. Terms were not released.

An undrafted free agent when he entered the league in May 2003, Wells played in all 16 games during and two playoff games during the 2003-04 season with Tennessee. After being waived by the Titans in 2004, Wells was signed by San Francisco, where he played in six regular-season games.

In 22 career regular-season games, Wells has totaled 15 special-teams tackles and tackle on defense. Wells also has two tackles on special teams during the playoffs.
