NEW YORK -- Comments on the Jacksonville Jaguars by the AP Pro32 panel (ranking in parentheses):

Chris Berman (ESPN, 31) -- New uniforms worked for a half.

Clifton Brown (Sporting News, 32) -- This team needs a serious upgrade in talent to turn the corner.

Cris Collinsworth (NBC Sports, 31)

Rich Gannon (CBS Sports/SiriusXM NFL Radio, 31) -- Won't win with Gabbert as I haven't seen any progress.

Bob Glauber (Newsday, 31) -- All-too-familiar background noise in this one for the Jaguars: boos from the home crowd.

Rick Gosselin (Dallas Morning News, 30) -- The Jaguars have scored only six touchdowns in five games. The 49ers scored six touchdowns last Sunday.

Clark Judge (CBSSports.com, 30) -- The more Blaine Gabbert struggles, the more I'm convinced the Jags are in deep kimchi for more than just this season.

Ira Kaufman (Tampa Tribune, 29) -- They're bad and they're boring. That's a deadly exacta.

Pat Kirwan (SiriusXM NFL Radio/CBSSports.com, 31) -- The game against the Bears was 3-3 at halftime but then the dam broke and 38 points later they were wiped out 41-3. Lots of blame to go around.

John Lynch (Fox Sports, 30) -- The Mularkey plan will take some in Jacksonville.

Alex Marvez (Foxsports.com, 28) -- Meet the new Jags. Same as the 2011 Jags.

Dan Pompei (Chicago Tribune, 31) -- The problem with the Jaguars is if Maurice Jones-Drew gets shut down, they have no other way of beating a team.
