NEW YORK -- Comments on the Dallas Cowboys by the AP Pro32 panel (ranking in parentheses):

Chris Berman (ESPN, 18) -- .500 for season, and 21st Century.

Clifton Brown (Sporting News, 19) -- Tony Romo remains a heartbreaker for Cowboys' fans in big moments.

Cris Collinsworth (NBC Sports, 15)

Rich Gannon (CBS Sports/SiriusXM NFL Radio, 15) -- Another 8-8 season can't make Jerry happy, stop complaining about Romo and check out how inconsistent the defense was all season

Bob Glauber (Newsday, 17) -- Tony "Turnover" Romo strikes again. His three picks against the Redskins matched his interceptions total from his previous eight games. More questions heading into a second straight off-season after losing out on the division the final game of the season.

Rick Gosselin (Dallas Morning News, 15) -- The Cowboys were 4-4 at home, 4-4 on the road and allowed more points (400) than they scored (376). That explains why the Cowboys extended their playoff-less streak to three seasons.

Clark Judge (CBSSports.com, 15) -- Maybe it's time to realize that Tony Romo is what he is. Dallas won't go far until or unless he changes character.

Ira Kaufman (Tampa Tribune, 15) -- Everything's bigger in Texas, especially the annual late-season disappointment.

Pat Kirwan (SiriusXM NFL Radio/CBSSports.com, 14) -- What a shame Tony Romo threw three interceptions in a game that now perpetuates the image of a guy that can't win the big one. I think the Cowboys are pointed in the right direction, but no one wants to hear that anymore.

John Lynch (Fox Sports, 15) -- I feel bad for Tony Romo as he was the reason they had life going into the Redskins game. Having said that, his already shaky legacy in Dallas suffered an enormous blow.

Alex Marvez (Foxsports.com, 15) -- Will any other quarterback have as long an offseason as Tony Romo following his three-interception performance against Washington?

Dan Pompei (Chicago Tribune, 16) -- After a fine, fine season by Tony Romo, his three interceptions against the Redskins were the three nails in this team's coffin.
