The NBA All-Star Weekend is a three-day recess with major cities acting as a playground for athletes, celebrities and fans. VIP parties, rare shopping opportunities and interactive experiences are some of the amazing things each All-Star Weekend has to offer. This year the Big Apple experience seemed a bit more extravagant than usual. Take a look at some of the exclusive and entertaining events that happened this All-Star Weekend.

10. Shoebox Surprise

You know it's All-Star Weekend when a gigantic, glowing shoebox that is also a sneaker store appears on a random street corner and it's not the most amazing thing you've seen all weekend.


9. Yeezy Does It All

Leave it to Kanye West to steal the show at the Grammys , have a fashion show, then release a shoe on All-Star Saturday all in one week. Sounds impressive, right? Well, his child is already over all the shenanigans.


8. The All-Star Weekend Classic

A staple of every All-Star Weekend, Kenny Smith's party always promises a packed dance floor. Especially with New York's DJ Funkmaster Flex providing the hits.

7. The Workout Of The Future

To make sure you get a workout in after a night of partying, Nike hosted a futuristic workout complete with WNBA star Elena Delle Donne. Check out the rest of her jam-packed All-Star experience.

6. Fashion First

Now THIS is a fashion show we can get behind. TNT's inaugural NBA All-Star Style fashion show featured Elena Delle Donne as one of the judges and our favorite athletes rocking some interesting threads. To top it all off, funnyman Kevin Hart offered commentary on the looks. That's an automatic win right there.



5. Do It For The Love

With all the basketball action happening during All-Star Weekend it was easy to forget about Valentine's Day. At the Zoom City Bank in Brooklyn, lovers could celebrate the day by creating matching kicks, shooting hoops or playing basketball trivia games. Awwwww!

4. A House Party

The NBA House, with a location in Manhattan and Brooklyn, was one-stop shopping for the all-around NBA experience. Fans could play video games against NBA stars, test their passing skills and get autographs from NBA legends.



3. The Roc Boys In The Building

Jay Z is the personification of New York so you know his company, Roc Nation, had to do it big for All-Star Weekend. The 10,000 fans who attended the Roc City Classic in the Flatiron District witnessed banging performances by Kanye West, Big Sean, 2 Chainz and more.



2. Spike Lee's Sneaker Jam

New York Knicks superfan Spike Lee made sure his home borough of Brooklyn was well represented during All-Star Weekend by throwing a one-of-a-kind event. The party featured a collection of sports memorabilia from his personal collection, a sneaker photo booth and old-school hip-hop tunes. To make it a truly unique experience, a strict "sneakers only" policy was enforced for all attendees.

1. His Airness Takes NYC

Jordan Brand celebrated its 30th anniversary the only way it knows how: larger than life. The fully interactive experience across the street from Madison Square Garden included a custom photo booth and gallery of every Air Jordan, complete with corresponding memorabilia. The coolest part of the exhibit was an LED court where fans got to re-enact one of Jordan's iconic shots.
