Skylar Diggins and Notre Dame went into a hostile environment at Iowa and won.

Wow, what a great run through the first two rounds of the tournament.

We knew when we saw the draw that it would not be easy. Even though we are a No. 1 seed, we had to travel to Iowa City. After we beat Tennessee-Martin in the opening round, we faced Iowa on their home floor. The Hawkeyes were a tough, aggressive team. Add in the home crowd, and it was an even bigger test.

But the season prepared us for this. We had already traveled to places like Tennessee and UConn and won. Our team was up to another the challenge against the Hawkeyes. We were able to get off to a fast start -- KMac had the hot hand and I just kept trying to find her -- to take the crowd out of it early. I was so proud of the way my team rose to the occasion and got the win.

So, on to the next.....the Sweet Sixteen!

Now we are back on the road again, in Norfolk, Va. My team and I are so excited about the opportunity to win another NCAA game, putting us one step closer to our goal! That being said, we understand that we have to get through a tough Kansas team who is playing so well. As game time gets closer, we will continue to prepare with practice and film.

Also, we may get a little down time to go to the movies or the mall (get my green nails repainted).

Overall, I just want to enjoy this experience, my last NCAA tourney.
