Serena Williams Is (Deservedly) Everywhere Right Now

Sixteen years after her first appearance, Serena Williams is back where she belongs -- on the cover of Sports Illustrated.

And while one (OK, I) could argue that with so many incredible achievements, she could probably be featured EVERY SINGLE WEEK on the cover, it seems like a pretty good time for such an honor as she enters the US Open in search of the elusive calendar-year Grand Slam.

And that's not the only magazine cover the tennis superstar is gracing this week. Serena is also the cover story in the New York Times Magazine. Written by Claudia Rankine, the in-depth feature looks at her greatness and at black excellence. If the amazing Vine below somehow doesn't convince you, it's totally worth a read.

Can we just declare it Serena Week at this point? Better yet, maybe September should just preemptively be declared Serena Month.
