Tennis world reacts to Ana Ivanovic's retirement
When a former world No. 1 tennis player decides to leave the sport, it's going to get some attention -- and for Ana Ivanovic, who announced her retirement on Wednesday, that attention has come up through the #ThankYouAna hashtag on Twitter.
Ivanovic, 29, announced her retirement via Facebook Live and released a statement on Twitter.
One of the first to publicly wish her well was fellow former world No. 1 Caroline Wozniacki. Replies to Wozniacki's tweet from some fans jokingly begged her to not consider doing the same as Ivanovic anytime soon.
The Women's Tennis Association also put together a send-off for Ivanovic, one of the game's most-spirited players (and if you need proof of that last part, just ask WTA Reactions).
