Eugenie Bouchard plays lifeguard for a day at Bondi Beach in Sydney
Tennis star Eugenie Bouchard has wasted no time in getting back into the swing of things. While she lost in her first-round match at Brisbane last week, she opened play at Sydney with a win over Zhang Shuai on Sunday.
And even while her game clearly continues to improve, Bouchard always is winning off the court -- as she proved yet again before the current tournament began when she trained with the lifeguards at the famed Bondi Beach.
Watching swimmers from the lifeguard station and even driving around the beach on a cart with a megaphone, Bouchard did her best to resist yelling "SHARK!" as she ensured the safety of others and had some fun in the process.
And her fun with the water didn't stop there. On Monday while doing a pool workout, presumably at her hotel, she was joined by a group of kids who started copying her exercises. Thankfully, someone filmed this encounter because it's pretty adorable.
If this whole tennis thing doesn't work out, Bouchard really could have a bright future as a lifeguard or a water aerobics instructor.
