Bethanie Mattek-Sands has the best weekend ever (despite the doubters)

Bethanie Mattek-Sands had a pretty good week. She celebrated her 32nd birthday, advanced to the Round of 16 at the Miami Open and almost tied the fastest serve in the WTA at 131 miles per hour. (NBD or anything, right?)

While her serve, which registered 131 mph on radar, ultimately was deemed unofficial due to interference, Mattek-Sands was understandably pretty pumped about her accomplishment.

Just used the legs and got up... felt a little like @johnrisner

Not everyone seemed equally thrilled about the feat. Former tennis player-turned-coach and ESPN analyst Brad Gilbert questioned the speed on Twitter.

But Mattek-Sands was not about to let anyone take the moment away from her and was quick to fire back.

Gilbert didn't respond to Mattek-Sands, but he did continue to tweet his disbelief. In conclusion: you can never please everyone -- even when you almost make the record books. But we still think you had the best weekend ever, BMS!
